Nola Mooney

Nola Mooney is Waddell & Associates’ Marketing Support Strategist who brings creativity, organization, and strong cross-team collaboration to the firm’s marketing efforts. A Nashville native with a sharp eye for design and a talent for visual storytelling, Nola helps ensure W&A’s messaging stays consistent, meaningful, and engaging.

Nola describes herself as passionate about problem-solving and translating complex ideas into thoughtful, visually compelling presentations. She loves working across mediums, creating through a combination of analog and digital processes. She’s excited by design at every scale and loves the challenge of producing imagery that leaves an impact.

Named after the beloved city of New Orleans, Nola is as vibrant and spirited as her namesake. While earning her BFA in Graphic Design from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, she built an impressive foundation through diverse creative experiences, including agency work, publication design, social media management, and design roles supporting both education and research. She’s even championed design education by dedicating some of her time to teaching middle school students.

Driven by a desire to leave every organization better than she found it, Nola is continually exploring how to use design to connect with people and strengthen relationships. Outside of work, she’s just as creative, enjoying crocheting, needlepoint, collaging, sewing, baking, and other hands-on projects. Also an outdoors enthusiast, Nola loves camping—so much so, she took a solo camping trip after graduation, right before starting her role at W&A.

Nola dreams of one day launching an outdoor social club for women or creating a nonprofit that helps children explore creativity through art, design, architecture, and engineering.
